Freezing Corn Bread Tips

Freezing Corn Bread Tips

If you have a batch of uneaten corn bread sitting around and you're not sure what to do with it, we've got some good news: cornbread freezes well!

Here's how to prepare your Corn Bread for freezing.
1. Make sure your cornbread is fully baked and cooled (you don't want to freeze cornbread while it's still hot).
2. Once it's cooled off, wrap it in plastic wrap or freezer paper. If you prefer to double-wrap, that works too.
3. Place the wrapped corn bread in a heavy-duty freezer bag and label it with the date. This will help you keep track of when you made it and how long it's been there so you don't accidentally eat something that's expired.
4. It'll last around 3-4 months in the freezer—just make sure to use within that time frame!

Bonus Tip:
You can also freeze corn bread muffins.
The best way to freeze these is to take a cooled-off cornbread muffin, wrap each corn bread muffin in plastic (1-2 times), and place each wrapped muffin in a larger freezer bag. Date the freezer bag and use within 3-4 months.
