Tea Infused Scones

Tea Infused Scones

One fun way to introduce new flavors to scones is by using a strong cup of tea in place of water. We have tried this recipe with lavender tea and white rose tea, both were absolutely delicious! 

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 Package of Sticky Fingers Original Scone Mix 
  • 1/2 Cup + 2 Tablespoons, cooled Strong Tea

Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 375 
  2. Prepared your baking sheet by lining your baking sheet with parchment paper and/or lightly greasing the baking sheet with non-stick spray 
  3. In a bowl combine the scone mix and the strong tea 
  4. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough about three inches apart. You can form the scones into triangles if you'd like.  
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, or until slightly golden on top 
  6. Enjoy!

*You can follow our Easy Glaze recipe below if you'd like to infuse even more tea flavor. Just make sure that your scones are cooled before you apply your glaze. 

Ingredients: 

  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons Strong Tea 

Directions: 

  1. Mix the powered sugar and tea in a small bowl. 
  2. Drizzle the glaze over cooled scones.
