The world’s most delicious scone recipe was a family secret, handed down from generation to generation for hundreds of years until 1987, when our secret Sticky Fingers scone recipe was used to create the world’s most delicious scones for the public in San Diego, California.

Sticky Fingers Bakeries was open for business and diligently crafted the fresh, delicious Sticky Fingers scones – and each day they sold out quickly. Word got out. The more people heard about Sticky Fingers scones, the more people lined up to buy them. Demand grew and grew, but the busy little San Diego bakery could only bake so many.

The founders decided to recreate their Sticky Fingers bakery recipe in a packaged mix that anyone could make and enjoy at home. Perfecting the mix for home bakers wasn't easy, but we persevered until we got it just right. The most important requirement was to use only the highest quality ingredients available. This is the only way to make real Sticky Fingers Scones. In keeping with this tradition, our mixes contain absolutely no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, trans fats or saturated fats.
